Winifred Bass Chocklett

Winifred Bass Chocklett, 79, passed away on July 12, 2024. Born June 13, 1945 in Wilson, NC, she was the daughter of Leonard and Lela Bass. 

Winifred was preceded in death by her loving husband of 59 years, Donald "Donnie" Chocklett, her parents and grandson Paxton Andrews. 

 She is survived by her children, Susan Chocklett Bryan (Jeff), Eddie Chocklett (Lynn); her grandchildren Josh Andrews (Sarah) and Connor Andrews; her sister Connie Chocklett; and her cherished fur baby, Pungo.

 Winifred enjoyed spending summers at the Pungo River with her grandchildren.  She taught them how to drive a boat, swim and fish.  She was fondly known as “Coco”.   Coco and Pops loved their "boys". 

Coco’s legacy will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
