Willie Ray Moore

Willie Ray Moore, age 81, passed away Wednesday at his son’s home in Wake Forest. Born in Wayne County, NC, he was the son of the late Willie Allen Moore and Dorothy Virginia Brown Moore. Willie was a veteran of the United States Army 82nd Airborne Division.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, May 30, 2023 at 11:00 a.m. in Wayne Memorial Park with Military Honors. At other times, the family will be at the home of his sister, Dorothy Fields, 126 Lisa Drive, Princeton, NC.

Willie is survived by his brother, Kenneth Moore & wife, Elaine; sisters, Dorothy Fields, Wilma Sauls & husband, Billy and Linda Page; his son, Michael Moore: his grandsons, Max Willie Moore and Elliot Townsend; many nieces, nephews and cousins; his extended family, The Cutting Edge Staff and his special dog, “Morgan”.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his sons, Steve Moore and Willie Moore, Jr.
