William Nicholas “Nick” Rose, age 83, passed away Tuesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. Born in Wayne County, he was the son of the late Hubert Royster Rose and Alice Catledge Rose. He was also preceded in death by his brothers, Hubert Rose, Jr., Jack Rose, Robert Rose and Tom Rose. Nick was a member of First Christian Church, the Goldsboro Elks Lodge and was a Veteran of the NC National Guard. Nick was well known in the furniture business with Rose Brothers Furniture and Down East Furniture.

The family will hold a private service.

Nick is survived by his sons, Nick Rose, Jr. and wife, Angie and Andy Rose and wife, Bridget; a brother, Travis Rose; a sister, Martha Ann Rose Watson; four grandchildren, Drew Rose, Van Rose, Martie Rose and Will Rose; and two great grandchildren, Cainen and Calla Mae.
