William Jackson Marshall, 76, of Mount Olive, North Carolina passed away peacefully on October 24, 2024. He was born on May 10, 1948 in Tampa, Florida to the late Fredrick and Ruby Marshall. He served in the United States Air Force for five and a half years. He then eventually earned and received an M.B.A. in health care administration and a B.A.S. in resource management and an A.A. in business, which lead him to work in eight states as a nursing home administrator. He was a kind and loving gentleman who enjoyed RV camping, motorcycle trips, boating, fishing, and playing golf.
In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by a sister, Jo Anne Reese.
His surviving relatives include his wife Ann Marshall as well as numerous nieces and nephews, and extended family.
A rosary will be held on Monday, October 28, 2024 at 6:00 P.M. Visitation will follow until 8:00 P.M. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. A service to celebrate his life will be held on Tuesday, October 29, 2024 at 2:00 P.M. at St. Mary of the Angels with Father Bernard Kayimbw Mbay, C.I.C.M., as celebrant. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the St. Mary of the Angels building fund in memory of Bill.
