Wanda Gail (Worthington) Bonner

Wanda Gail Worthington Bonner, age 68, passed away on Thursday May 14, 2026. She was born in Martin Country North Carolina. She was the daughter of her late father Albert Eugene Worthington and her late mother Mary Della Worthington. She worked as a security guard at Carolina Turkey before her retirement. She loved to garden with a particular interest in sunflowers, having grown several types over her life. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow around her and spending time with her family.

She is survived by her husband, Jeffery Lynn Bonner; her brother Michael Worthington, her sister Karen Sellers and her husband Jack Sellers; daughters, Jeannie Buchan and her husband Calvin Buchan, Sarah Bonner, Jamie Bonner. Her grandchildren Chelsi Leger and her husband Andrew Leger, Caleb Buchan and his wife Kitrina, Caden Castro, Dyson Best, Safira Bonner, Lataisha Bonner, Blanca Bonner, Kearstyn Holmes, and Irra Carey, as well as 10 great grandchildren and three Nephews.

She is preceded in death by her brother, Steven Eugene Worthington and her daughter Kathy Bonner.

A visitation will be held on Friday the 22nd of May at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home for friends and family to visit from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m.
