Virginia Elizabeth (Reid) Platts

Virginia Elizabeth Reid Platts, age 85, passed away Wednesday in Charleston, SC. Born in Concord, NC, she was the daughter of the late John Carlton Reid, Sr. and Elizabeth Ware Reid. She was a member of Faith Harbor United Methodist Church in Surf City, NC and Alders Gate United Methodist Church in N. Charleston, SC. She was a member of the United Methodist Church Women with both churches.

A Graveside Service will be held Saturday, July 15, 2023 at 10:00 a.m. in Wayne Memorial Park.

Mrs. Platts is survived by her husband, James M. Platts, Sr.; son, James “Jay” Platts, Jr. & wife, Judy; daughter, Elizabeth P. Withers & husband, W. Clay; brother, John Carlton Reid, Jr. & wife, Cynthia; sister, Robin Reid Coats; two grandchildren.
