Virginia Carolyn (Brock) King

Virginia Carolyn King, 71, of Goldsboro passed away Saturday at Wayne UNC Health Care. She was the daughter of the late Henry and Mallie Brock and was married to Kenneth King. She was a home maker for her family and enjoyed going fishing, trips to the mountains on vacation, and watching her children and grandchildren play sports. Mrs. King was a very dependable person.

A celebration of life service will be held on Wednesday at 6:00 P.M. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with Rev. Andrew Price officiating. The family will receive friends following the service. The family asks that everyone wear bright colors in Mrs. Kings memory.

In addition to her husband of 48 years, Mrs. King is survived by her children, Carolyn Michelle Gonzalez and husband, Miquel of Kenansville, Brandi King and husband, Scott of Faison, Candace S. King of Mt. Olive and Paris Verme and husband, Chris of Goldsboro; a sister Kathy Gardner and husband, Wayne of Goldsboro; grandchildren, Amity Beard, Alek Sharpe, Chase King, Raven King, Addison King, Caroline Stovall, Dylan Strickland, Christopher Strickland, Brianna Verme, Hayli Verme, A.J. Verme, and Chole Verme; and great grandchildren, Trista Sharpe, Aidan Beard, and ShyAnn Beard.
