Tommy Carson Capps

Tommy Carson Capps, age 63, died Saturday, January 11, 2025, at Mount Olive Care Center.  Born in Wayne County to the late Garnie Garfield Capps and Jean Elizabeth Capps Adams, he was a truck driver with Hog Slat and Ferguson Enterprises.  Tommy was of the Baptist faith attending Jordans Chapel Baptist Church in his younger days.

A service to celebrate his life will be held on Sunday, January 19th, 2025at 3:00 pm in the Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Chris Barnes officiating. The family will greet friends at the funeral home immediately following the service.

Tommy is survived by his son, Adam Matthew Capps, daughter Sarah Capps, sister Patricia Tadlock (Don), grandchildren, Kaiden Capps and Samuel Grice. Also surviving is his longtime special friend Peggy Jernigan, and lifelong friend Lenny Denning.
