Thomas Harold Pearman, age 88, passed away Saturday evening at ECU Health in Greenville, NC. Born in Reidsville, NC, he was the son of the late Thomas Walter Pearman and Edna Moore Pearman. Harold earned his bachelor’s degree in Agronomy Soil & Science Degree from North Carolina State University in 1960. He served his country for 2 years in the United States Army and 25 years in the United States Army Reserves. He also graduated from the Command and General Staff College with the Army. He retired from the USDA as County Supervisor of FmHA.
Harold is survived by his wife, Sandra Jones Pearman; his daughter, Teresa Pearman Sutton; his son, Thomas “Tom” Harold Pearman, Jr. & wife, Jaime; his grandchildren, Jacob Rose, Kacey Rose & fiancé, Dylan Jones, Hayden Pearman and Riley Pearman; stepdaughters, Kristine Clements & husband, Ralph, Patricia Holoman, and Megan Smith & husband, Kevin; step grandchildren, Steven Clements, Milo Clements, Jillian Smith and Jenna Wheelock & husband, Cody; step great grandchild, Lydia Wheelock.
Along with his parents, Harold was preceded in death by his son-in-law, Jim Sutton; brother, Robert Pearman and sister, Shirley Hunter.
Funeral Services will be held Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home in Goldsboro. Burial, with military honors, will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, at the Eastern Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Goldsboro, NC. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Tuesday, July 7, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.
