Susan Diane (Hardy) Theriac

Susan Diane Hardy Theriac passed away peacefully on Friday, February 28, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love, strength, and family. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, and friend whose warmth and kindness touched the lives of all who knew her.  She was born in Norfolk, VA., to the late Richard Bowden Howell and Edna Earl Holland Howell.  Her husband Fred Theriac also preceded her in death by four days.

Susan is survived by her sister, Pamela Miller, and her husband, Gordon; her son, Richard Skrovan, and his wife, Stacey; her son, Edward Skrovan, and his companion, Amelia Castleton; and her son, Joshua Skrovan, and his wife, Shelby. She leaves behind a joyful legacy in her grandchildren: Katelynn Rodgers, Brayden Koeppen, Cameron Skrovan, Cora-Leigh Skrovan, Liam Skrovan, Claire Skrovan, Bonnie Skrovan, and Kenzie Skrovan, each of whom brought light to her life.

Susan will be remembered for her unwavering devotion to her family and her ability to find beauty in life’s simple moments. Her spirit lives on in the hearts of those she loved and who loved her in return.

A joint ceremony will be held with her husband, Fred Theriac, on Friday, March 7th, at 10 a.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home, to honor their lives together. The family will receive friends following the service in the chapel.
