Susan (Johnson) Pearsall

Susan Johnson Pearsall, age 70, passed away on Monday, June 3rd at UNC Hospital in Chapel Hill. Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late Willard Howard Johnson and Retha Mae Jordan Johnson. Susan was a member of the Thunder Swamp Pentecostal Holiness Church and was a past president of the Mar Mac Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. For over 20 years she was a teacher in the child care industry in Wayne County.

A service to celebrate Susan’s life will be held on Saturday, June 8th at 11:00 am at Thunder Swamp Church with Pastor Karen Lucas officiating. The family will greet friends at the church immediately following the service.

Susan is survived by her husband of over 50 years, Len Pearsall; two sons, Wesley L. Pearsall and Brad H. Pearsall; a brother, Howdy Johnson; three sisters, Kaye McLawhon, Charlene Thomas and Jerry Best; two grandsons, Duke Pearsall and Braxton Pearsall; great grandogs, Leroy and Dobby.
