Susan (Getchell) Dodson

Susan Getchell Dodson, age 67; of Goldsboro passed away Tuesday.  She was the daughter of. the late Robert Morrison Getchell and Elaine Gilbert Getchell.   She retired from the Wayne County School system, serving as a teacher at Meadow Lane School.

 A Celebration of life Susan's will be held Wednesday July 26, 2023, at 2:00 P.M. at St. Francis Episcopal Church 503 Forest Hill Drive Goldsboro.   The family will have a visitation for family and friends Tuesday evening Beginning at 5:00 PM – 6:30 PM at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home

Mrs. Dodson is survived by her husband, Jesse Lee Dodson; her children, Amanda Dodson Evans (Robert), Sarah Martin (Tim) and David Joshua Dodson (Mary); grandchildren, Jacob Evans, AlaAlexander Evans, Claire Martin, Colbie Martin, Lexis Dodson, Alana Dodson and Adalyn Dodson.

Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Robert M. Getchell.
