Sharon Lee (Newell) Woudsma

Sharon Lee Newell Woudsma, 81, passed away Wednesday at Wayne U.N.C. Hospital. She is the daughter of the late Dorothy Becker Newell and Orville Newell, and is the wife of John Franklin “Woody” Woudsma. Sharon enjoyed spending time with her family, especially her granddaughter and great grandchildren. She also liked to crochet, do crafts, and bake. Sharon took great care of her family.

The family will have a private service.

In addition to her husband, Sharon is survived by her daughter, Cheryl Pletcher and husband, Daniel of Goldsboro; granddaughter, Christeana Bishop and husband, Joshua of Goldsboro; siblings, Carol Watson, Gloria Newell, Linda Newell, Jim Newell and wife, Maureen, June Langton and husband, Bob, and Robin Amundson, and husband, Kim all of Rochester, Minnesota; and great grandchildren, Devin, Jordan, and Joslynn Bishop all of Goldsboro.

In addition to her parents, Sharon was preceded in death by her siblings, Lowell, Ira, John, and Leroy Newell.
