Richard Joseph (Rick) Cormier

Rick Cormier, age 26, of Goldsboro, died Saturday at his home. Born in Wayne County, he was the son of Richard “Ricky” Joseph Cormier and Neva Thompson Hartzog.

A service to celebrate his life will be held Wednesday at 7:00pm at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with Rev. Frank Purvis officiating. The family will greet friends on Wednesday immediately following the service.

Along with his parents, he is survived by his sisters, Tabitha Tauschek and spouse, Tyler and Emily Williams and spouse, Leon Hall; step-mother, Linda Cormier; nephews and nieces, Aaron Fowler, Sylas Williams, Tyson Williams, Gracie Hall and Dallas Hall.

He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, J.D. and Darline Davis Cormier: maternal grandparents, Norwood “Pete” Thompson, Jr. and Jessica Gainey Thompson; sister, Nichole Cormier and Nichole’s mother, Donna Jean Cormier.
