Rev. George Eugene King

Rev. George Eugene King, age 94, ,passed away Friday evening November 5^th, 2021, At the NC State Veterans Home in Kinston, NC. He was the son of the late George & Emma Sparks King. He was preceded in death by his wife Helen Stojka King. He was born in Carney’s Point area of NJ. George faithfully served his country by serving in the US Navy and was a WWII veteran.

George was a devout Christian Man, who faithfully served his Lord and savior.  He was of the Methodist faith , among the churches he served in the area was Elm Street Methodist Church in Goldsboro & Falling Creek Methodist church in the Grantham Area. He retired from  the Methodist church of  NC. He also served the VA  conference of the Methodist church. After leaving the active Ministry with the Methodist Church, he founded Life Renewal Ministry.  Rev. King served as an evangelist in the ministry  for many years.

Rev. King is survived by a son George E. King Jr. of PA; Granddaughter – Jessica K. Sferlazzo; Great Granddaughter – Gianna Sferlazzo Niece & Spouse – Bonnie & Jim Newkirk of NJ.  Special family friends Rudy & Debbie Peedin of Dudley, Bruce and Becky Weisiger of Goldsboro, Karen & Bruce Magnum of Goldsboro. 

A private family Memorial Service will be held later at the Sharpstown UMC Cemetery  in Sharpstown, NJ. 

The family and friends would like to say thank you to the staff at the Veterans Home in Kinston for the very professional care that they provided for George, while he was there. We pray that our Heavenly Father blesses you , as you were a being a blessing to George.
