Polly Hall, 71, of Hampstead passed away Thursday at her residence. She was the daughter of the late Samuel Lewis and Lois Reardon Thompson and was the wife of the late David Earl Hall. She loved plants and flowers, time spent with her family, Cardinals, Gospel Music, but most of all her savior, Jesus.
A service to celebrate Polly’s life will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 P.M. at the Eastern North Carolina Veteran’s Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Tuesday from 12:00 until 1:00 P.M. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
Mrs. Hall is survived by her son, Michael Hall and wife, Pamela of Leland; grandson, Anthony Hall of Hampstead; sisters, Jean Sills and husband, Allen of Goldsboro, Arlene Wade and husband, Keith of Goldsboro, Nancy Outlaw and husband, Bobby of Dudley; a brother, Luby Thompson and wife, Janet of La Grange; and sister-in-law, Brenda Thompson of Mt. Olive.
In addition to her husband, her sister, Lena Carroll and husband, Richard; and a brother, Johnny Thompson preceded her in death.
