Peggy Page (Mooring) Jones

Peggy Page Mooring Jones, age 82, passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2024 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. Born in Wayne County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Ralph Lee and Maggie Wethington Mooring and the wife of the late Joseph E. “J.E.” Jones. She was a member of Antioch Presbyterian Church.

A service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at 3:00 p.m. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with Rev. Kelley Bufaloe and Mr. Tony Souder officiating. A visitation for family and friends will be held immediately following the service at the funeral home. Entombment will be held on Monday, April 15, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. in Wayne Memorial Park.  

She is survived by her sons, Michael Jones (Nancy) and Joseph Wayne Jones; her daughters, Wendy Millard, Rhonda Souder (Tony) and Robin Jones; 11 grandchildren and 9 great grandchildren.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by 7 siblings;  her granddaughter, Jessica Ariel Millard and her great granddaughter, Analeigh Lynne Jones.
