Peggy Finlay, 92, of Eureka passed away Monday at her home. She is the daughter of the late Shepard Hinson Morgan and Mantha Etta Small Morgan and is the wife of Malcolm “Bud” Finlay. Peggy enjoyed singing, being with people, cooking bread, riding in the car, and trips to the houseboat in Tennessee. She was a member of Mt. Nelson Baptist Church.
A service to celebrate Peggy’s life will be held Saturday at 1:00 P.M. at Wayne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.
In addition to her husband, Mrs. Finlay is survived by her children, Vickie I. Shipley, Charles J. "Chuck" Inscoe and wife, Debra, Nancy I. Moore and Husband, David, and Marsha Hartis; stepchildren, Malcolm “Donnie” Finlay and wife, Sherry, Debbie McCormick and husband, Dave, and William Mack Finlay; 13 grandchildren; and many special great grandchildren.
A son, Steve J. Inscoe and grandchildren, Tamela A. Bailey, Terry L. Bailey and Christopher W. Hartis preceded her in death.
