Paul "Mad Daddy" Thomas Conway

Paul Thomas Conway, age 77, passed away peacefully on Saturday Afternoon at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. Born in Brooklyn, NY, he was the son of the late Norman Kinser and Jeanetta Conway.  Paul Proudly Served his country with four years of service in the United States Navy and retired with 20 years of service with the United States Air Force.  He was a proud veteran.

A celebration of Paul’s Life will be held at American Legion Post #11 on Saturday July 23, 2022 at 2 p.m.  Paul will be honored with full Military honors and a GRMC patch ceremony.  A live stream of the service will be available on the funeral home website.

He is survived by his wife, Marilyn Conway;  sons and spouses, Erik & Kandice Conway,  Jeremy & Abby Cypher, Daughter and spouse; Angie  & Dale Abbott, Grandchildren; Emily, Elissa “Lulu,” Makenzie, Finley, Haley (Sean), Matthew (Emily) & Eli; Sister Jo-Ann Daniels (Tommy), his many GRMC brothers and his Fur Babies; Rosie & Walker.

Paul was a member of the American Legion Post #11, the VFW, also a 35-year member of the Ghost Riders Motorcycle club, where he was known as “Mad Daddy.”

He loved to party and will be remembered for his generosity, love for his family and country, crazy tie-dye clothes and his “eclectic” taste in music.  He was one of a kind and will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

In lieu of flower Paul’s family suggest memorial gifts be directed to American Legion Post #11 or to the Wayne County Animal Shelter.
