Patricia Carol Adams Thigpen, 82, of Dudley passed away Wednesday at the SECU Hospice House in Smithfield. Patricia was the widow of Millard Thigpen and was a member of Brogden Church. She was a retired Phlebotomist for the Wayne County Health Department and enjoyed volunteering. She had volunteered for the Seymour Johnson AFB pharmacy, Meals on Wheels and her church. She was also a lover of animals.
A service to celebrate her life will be held on Sunday at 3:00 P. M. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. The family will receive friends the hour preceding the service. Committal services will be held Thursday at 2:00 P.M. in Martin Memorial Gardens.
Patricia is survived by her stepchildren, Jeffrey Thigpen(Amy) and Tiffany Thigpen(Dean); grandchildren, Nicole, Tanner, Christopher, and Noah; and friend, Gayle Benefield.
