Patricia Ann Stanley, 79, of Goldsboro passed away Monday at her residence. She moved to Goldsboro from Copper Hill, TN at the age of 15. In her early years she attended the Mt. Olive Church of God with her grandparents, but most recently she was a member and attended Black Jack Grove Free Will Baptist Church. She was retired from the Wayne County Court House, where she helped place people in the community service program. She loved trips to the mountains or to go fishing.
The family will receive friends daily at the home until Friday, November 10, 2023.
Patricia is survived by her children, Carrie Smeal of Goldsboro and Freeman Todd Stepp of Wilmington; grandchildren, JD “Trey” Cormier III, Mindy Alexander, Dalton C. Ealey, and Christopher Smeal; 9 great grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; a dutiful son in law, Aaron C. Smeal; and a dutiful caregiver, Jo Ann Whitfield.
