Nancy Jane (Evans) Rhodes

Nancy Jane Evans Rhodes, age 79, passed away Wednesday at Wayne/UNC Health Care in Goldsboro, NC.  Born in Wayne County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Jasper James “Jabo” and Ava Taylor Evans and the wife of the late John Edsel Rhodes. 

A Funeral Service will be held Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. from the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with Rev. Dennis Pollock officiating. Burial will follow in Wayne Memorial Park.  A time of visitation with family and friends will be held on Saturday from 10:00 – 10:45 a.m. at the funeral home.

She is survived her son, Jeffrey Rhodes; her daughter, Susan Williams; her brother, Henry Thomas Evans; her sisters, Glenda Mae Hodge, Linda Faye Fink, Ava Marie Joyner and Lucinda Jennette; her grandchildren, Miranda Rhodes D’Arco, Wyatt Williams, Audrey Williams and Jeffrey W. Rhodes;  her great granddaughter, Elowyn Jane D’Arco.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her infant daughter.
