Myrtle Elizabeth (Smith) Wilson

Myrtle Elizabeth Smith Wilson, age 93, passed away Tuesday evening at her home. Born in Robeson County, she was the daughter of the late Ruben Smith and Etha Jane Britt Smith. She was the wife of the late Lester “Buster” Lee Wilson, Jr. and they were owners of Wilson’s Shoe Repair in Dudley, NC.

Funeral Services will be held Monday at 3:00 p.m. in the Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Danny Keen officiating. Burial will follow in Emmaus Church Cemetery. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held from 2:00 p.m. to 2:45 p.m. at the funeral home.

Myrtle is survived by her children, David Bryan Wilson & wife, Claudia, Jannie Smith Keen & husband, Danny and Holly Smith Parrish & husband, Teddy; her sister, Pauline Butler; 19 grandchildren, 25 great grandchildren and 10 great great grandchildren; special military family, Bob White and Richard Acer.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her children, Mark Wilson, Cathy Eubanks, Lee Phelps and “Angel”  Miller; her brother and 5 sisters.

Flowers are welcome and memorial contributions may be directed to St Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
