Myrtle LaFawn (Wheless) Halverson

Myrtle LaFawn Wheless Halverson, 92, passed away Friday at Wayne U.N.C. Hospital. She was born in Faison to the late Nellie Armstrong Wheless, and was the widow of the late Arlan Ole Halverson. She enjoyed time outside in her yard working on flowers, putting together jigsaw puzzles, watching TV or quilting.

A graveside service will be held Tuesday at 1:00 P.M. at Wayne Memorial Park with Rev. Freddie Gooding officiating. Mrs. Halverson will lie in state on Tuesday from 9:00 until 12:00.

Mrs. Halverson is survived by her son, Gary Mark Halverson; and several nieces and nephews.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her son, Steve Arlan Halverson.
