Morgan Elisabeth Jacobs,18, of Sykesville, MD, passed away peacefully on April 18, 2025, surrounded by her family. Born on December 17, 2006, in Chapel Hill, NC, Morgan’s life was nothing short of extraordinary. At just 10 months old, she underwent a pioneering multiorgan transplant, a procedure that not only saved her life but also opened the door to a future marked by unyielding faith, hope, and resilience.
Morgan consistently defied expectations, embracing life with a radiant spirit, a mischievous smile, and an unwavering sense of humor. Even in the face of immense challenges, she exuded courage and grace, meeting every day with determination and optimism. She touched the lives of all who knew her, leaving an enduring impression through her strength, compassion, and generosity. Morgan's life is a beautiful testament to the resilience of the human spirit and the joy of truly living. She embraced every moment with passion and determination. Morgan graduated high school, worked as a host, and she found immense joy in her favorite pastimes, from playing softball to exploring on 4-wheelers. Her love for music, sunny days at the beach, and cruising in her car painted a picture of a well-lived life. A true foodie at heart, Morgan also brought her vibrant energy to social media, where she connected with others and shared her infectious spirit. Her journey inspires all who knew her, a shining example of perseverance and zest for life.
Morgan is lovingly remembered by her parents, Noah and Jamie Jacobs; her siblings: Sadie Lester, Haylea Sieben, Riley Jacobs, Kye Jacobs, and Audrey Jacobs; her grandparents: Diana Aycock and Gary Shanle, David and Mary Charles Jacobs, John and Jennifer Morgan, Tracy Morgan, and Ed and Gina Theriault. She is also survived by her great-grandparents, Mary Lloyd Jacobs and Dale and LaDonna Clary; a host of aunts and uncles, including Tara and Ed Holland, Michael and Sharon Morgan, Dylan and Haley Jacobs, Ellen and Tim Reed, Cole Jacobs and Ally Smith, Lee Morgan, and Matthew Theriault; and cousins, Julianna Holland and Mariah Holland. Morgan also leaves behind her friends and loved ones.
She is preceded in death by her mother, Brittany Morgan; her sister, Gracie LeaAnne Jacobs; and her great-grandparents, Cole Gore Jacobs, Earl Haas, Estella Haas, and Paul and Evelyn Morgan.
In commemorating Morgan’s life, we not only remember the battles she bravely fought but also the joy and inspiration she sparked in every heart she met. Her story is a shining beacon urging us all to embrace courage and cherish every heartbeat. Morgan leaves behind a legacy of hope and perseverance, a gentle yet powerful reminder that life is delicate, and every moment is precious.
A celebration of Morgan’s life will be held at Smith Chapel United Methodist Church, 2212 NC-55, Mt. Olive, NC, on April 28, 2025, at 1 p.m. with Pastor Deborah Sutton officiating. Committal services will follow at Wayne Memorial Park. Flowers are welcome. Arrangements provided through Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home & Crematory.
