Goldsboro – Merita Flores, age 73, passed away Monday morning at her home. Born in Pitt County, NC, she was the daughter of the late Joseph Mehrer and Margie Harris Workman.
No formal services will be held at this time.
Mrs. Flores is survived by her husband of 51 years, Roy Thomas "Tommy" Flores; sons and daughters-in-law, Roy Thomas "Tom" & Shelley Flores, Joseph "Joey" & Peggy Flores; daughter, Tammy Flores Antonucci; brothers Joe Barnes, William "Billy" Barnes, Frank Barnes, and Daniel and sister, Diane Henning. She had twelve grandchildren; Meghann Noel Nicholson, Jordan Blake Gerchman, Nicholas Flores, Gabriel Alexander Antonucci, Alexander Kendall Flores, Braxton Pate Flores, Ambryss Flores, Joseph Flores, Jr., Machala Flores, Jessica Flores, and Tyler Flores, and was preceded in death by Randall Blake Flores, and three great-grandchildren; Rowen West Bourgeois, Lucas Adler Nicholson, and Arya Rush Nicholson.
