Melinda S. Crawford died Tuesday, May 12, 2020. She was born on October 6, 1954 in Oxford, MS to the late James Dewey Wilson and Edith Atkinson Wilson. She was born the second oldest of seven children.
Melinda is survived by her beloved daughter, Laura Schilling and husband, James Schilling of Fairbanks, AK. Melinda’s life was also enriched by her grandchildren, Sarah Schilling and Aaron Schilling. Sarah and Aaron loved and were loved by their “MeMe”.
Melinda is also survived by her sister, Barbara Nichols of Goldsboro; niece, Kathleen Klinger (Bob) and grandnephew and grandniece, Tristan and Kaitlin Klinger, all of Dudley; sister, Martha Cullison (Dave) of Oxford, MS; sister, Sandra Jocelyn of Memphis, TN; brother, Kenneth Wilson (Melissa) and niece, Candace Wilson of Oxford, MS; brother, Carey Wilson of Oxford, MS; brother, Donald Wilson, Oxford, MS
Melinda was active in the Peggy Seegars Senior Center and was blessed to have many good friends in the Goldsboro area such as Minister Doug Johnson and wife, Cindy of Zion United Methodist Church; Forest and Donna Carrey; Mrs. Mary Smith; her “Posse” Lisa Weston, Jean Farlow, and Jimmie Best who were always ready to ride to her rescue.
We will all miss her very much and we were blessed to have had her in our lives.
