Mary Alice (Newcomb) Evans

Mary Alice Newcomb Evans, 74, of Goldsboro passed away at her residence Tuesday morning. She is the daughter of the late Ruffie and Gladys Williams Newcomb. Mary worked for Howell’s Child Care. She enjoyed working in her garden and helping her family and neighbors.

A graveside service will be held on Tuesday, June 24, 2025 at 11:00 A.M. at Wayne Memorial Park.

Mary is survived by her son, Eric Evans and wife, Schuyler of California; a grandson, Shannon Evans of North Carolina; and a special niece, Frances Singleton.

In addition to Mary’s parents, a daughter, Roxie Evans preceded her in death.
