Marty Lynn Shaw

Marty Lynn Shaw, age 58, passed away Monday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. Born in Wayne County, NC, he was the son of Mary Ann Lovett Shaw and the late Willie Lester Shaw, Jr. A graduate of Southern Wayne High School and Wayne Community College, he was a Mason with Mill Creek Lodge #125. Marty was the owner and operator of Shaw Refrigeration.

Funeral Services to celebrate Marty’s life will be held Friday, January 20, 2023 at 1:00 p.m. at Mt. Olive First Pentecostal Holiness Church with Pastor Jeff Dail officiating. Burial, with Masonic Rites, will follow in Wayne Memorial Park. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held Thursday from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Along with his mother, Marty is survived by his wife, Melissa “Missy” Brock Shaw; his daughter, Kala Shaw; his sons, Ryan Parker and Drake Shaw; his brother, Perry Shaw (Paula); his three grandchildren, Nolan Parker, Bennett Parker and Ellie Shaw; his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Billy and Barbara Brock.
