Mark Carlton Fairchild

Mark C. Fairchild, 64 passed away August 10th 2020 at UNC Chapel Hill, surrounded by his family. He was employed with Southeast Power where he was in the substation, and general construction business for 40 years.  He enjoyed fishing, playing golf, and going to the beach in his spare time. He loved his job and the men that worked with him. His love for his son and his family was amazing, always the quiet peace maker. Mark was born May 11th  1956 in Roanoke, VA to J.C. and Shirley Fairchild. He was preceded in death by his wife of 30 years Lorise Braswell Fairchild.

In addition to his parents, he is survived by one son,  Mark Austin Fairchild of Goldsboro; fiancée, Teresa Price of Seven Springs; one brother, A.J Fairchild and wife, Shelly of Bedford VA; one sister, Leslie Holton and husband Ken of Roanoke, VA.   He will be missed by many!

A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held Saturday, August 15th at 11:00 am at Wayne Memorial Park.
