Margierene Lamm Upchurch

Margierene Lamm Upchurch, age 88, peacefully left this life and joyously entered her eternal reward on Tuesday, April 1, 2025 in Nash County.

She was born in Nash County on September 11, 1936, to the late Ray and Evylene Lamm. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Oscar “Bud” Upchurch, brother, Wilbur “Ray” Lamm, sister, Rosalene Bass and brother-in-law, Jimmy Wilder.

Left to cherish Margie’s memory are two sons, Jerome “Jerry” Upchurch (April) and Brenard “BK” Upchurch (Brenda).

She was blessed with 8 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews and their children, whom she cherished.

Margie loved her Lord, her family and taking care of her home. She enjoyed attending church while her health allowed or watching good Bible teachings on TV.

A Graveside service will be held Friday, April 4, 2025, at 2:00 pm at Wayne Memorial Park with Rev. Glenn Pate officiating. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held from 1:00 pm to 1:45 pm at the funeral home.
