Lou Tower Obituary

Lou Ella McDonald Tower, 78, of Goldsboro passed away Friday at Wayne U.N.C. Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Daniel Franklin McDonald and Ruth McDonald McDaniel, and was the wife of CMSGT Jack Almon Tower. She was a retired registered nurse. Mrs. Tower was a devoted member of Oak Forrest Church of Christ. She loved her family and the people in her life, she considered her children’s friends as her own children. “Ms. Lou” was a true southern gentle lady.

A graveside service will be held on Sunday, July 25, 2021 at 12:00 in Wayne Memorial Park. The family will receive friends following the service at her residence. 

In addition to her husband of 48 years, Lou Ella is survived by her daughter, , Kimberly Segid and husband, SFC Binyam D. Segid of Ft Sam Houston, TX; grandchildren Jayden Tower, Solenn Barksdale, Aidan Barksdale; and a sister, Faye Ruffin of Goldsboro.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Dannie Ruth McDonald Gardner.
