Linwood Russell Gibbs

Linwood Russell Gibbs, age 92, passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2024 at Kitty Askins Hospice Center. Born in Hyde County, Linwood was the son of the late Ellis and Nannie Sanderson Gibbs and husband of the late Margaret Davenport Gibbs. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Lorraine Simmons. Linwood retired from the U.S. Air Force after serving as a security policeman.

At Linwood’s request there will be no formal funeral services.

Linwood is survived by a daughter, Beverly Gibbs Spinhirn; a son, Kevin Gibbs; and ten grandchildren.
