Linda Carter Mozingo

December 24, 1946 – November 27, 2023

Linda Carol Mozingo, 76 of Mt. Olive passed away on Monday at Goldsboro Assisted Living. She is the daughter of the late Delmer and Ruby Carter Futrell and is married to Charles D. Mozingo. Nana enjoyed shopping, cooking for her family, dancing, Christmas time, and most of all spending time with her grandchildren.

A service of love and remembrance will be held on Thursday at 3:00 P.M. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Burroughs officiating. The family will receive friends following the service.

In addition to her husband, Mrs. Mozingo is survived by her daughters, Crystal “Chris” Hanks and husband, Mel of Greensboro and Sharon Burroughs and husband, Eddie of Stantonsburg; and grandchildren, Rebekah, Mary and husband, Stephen, Ashley, Caleb, Lydia, Hannah, Sarah, Sam, Martha, Ezra, and David.

In addition to her parents, Linda is preceded in death by her siblings, Delmer Lee “John” Futrell Jr., Dwight Futrell, and Lynett Cavenaugh; and a grandson, Joshua Burroughs.

The family would like to say “Thank You” to all the staff at Goldsboro Assisted Living for the love and care they showed. You truly are our extended family.
