Linda Gail Smith Brinson, 74, of Pink Hill, passed away Friday, September 22, 2023, at ECU Health Medical Center. She is the daughter of the late Freely and Eva Smith Smith, and married to Robert Dearl Brinson. Mrs. Brinson is a retired Activities Director with Windam Hall, and was a member of Sandy Plain Free Will Baptist Church. She was a mother to many, and little children loved her. She enjoyed helping and loving on people. She also enjoyed working in her flowers and taking trips to the mountains or the Amish country. Linda especially enjoyed the change of seasons and decorating for each season. In her spare time, you could find her reading, doing craft work, or cooking.
A service to celebrate Linda’s life will held at Sandy Plain Free Will Baptist Church in Pink Hill on Thursday, September 28, 2023, at 6:00 PM, with the Rev. Jimmy Mercer and Rev. Crandall Fountain officiating. The family will greet friends and family at the church following the service.
Mrs. Brinson is survived by her husband, Robert of 53 years; two sons, Brian Brinson and wife, Shelly and Phillip and wife, Harriett; a sister, Carol Faye Quinn, and six grandchildren, Ashlyn Jada Brinson, Aidan Josiah Brinson, Chloe Nicole Brinson, Chandlyn Kaylee Honeycutt, Logan Gross & Banner Gross
In addition to her parents, Mrs. Brinson is preceded in death by a son, Christopher Robin Brinson, also two grandchildren, Liam Reid Brinson & Paisley Rose Brinson.
