Laura "Cookie" Anne Wingfield

Laura Anne “Cookie” Wingfield was freed from the burden of her body to fly with the Angels July 16, 2023. While we are happy her soul is free our hearts are broken by her passing.
Laura, the fifth child of William Alfred Wingfield and Elizabeth Ford Wingfield, was born on November 16, 1969. From birth her physical and mental limitations required constant care. Laura joined her North Carolina family at RHA Howell’s in 1987, where she was lovingly cared for until her passing.

Laura was predeceased by her father William A. Wingfield, sister Melissa Jane Wingfield, and beloved stepfather Walter L. Manning.

She is survived by her mother Elizabeth F Wingfield Manning, brother William R. Wingfield (Bella), and sister Elizabeth W Nuckols (Bill), nieces Hayley Welch, Elise Smith, Ashley Wingfield, and Megan Wingfield, as well as great nieces and nephews.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to Howells and their devoted staff who have given Laura excellent care over the years, and much love to Kim Carter who was with Laura when she passed. God Bless you all.
