Katlyn Renee (Kimbrough) Koser

Katlyn Renee Koser, age 24, passed away Saturday evening at the home of her parents.  Born in Wayne Co., she was the daughter of Timothy Ray and Amy Lynch Kimbrough. She was a 2013 graduate of Wayne Early Middle College High School.  On December 5, 2019, Katlyn was diagnosed with Acute Myeloid Leukemia.  She began the fight of her life and fought the good fight. On April 25, 2020, while at home, surrounded by her family, Kathlyn Renee Kimbrough Koser went to her heavenly home. She leaves a legacy of kindness and unconditional love to all that know and care for her. This young wife, mother, daughter, sister, granddaughter, niece, and friend to many, has shown us all how to live life to the fullest. 

A  graveside service to celebrate Katlyn’s life will be held Wednesday, April 29, 2020 at 11:00 am in the family cemetery, 446 Grantham School Road, Mt. Olive, NC with Rev. Donald Massey officiating. The family will visit with friends following the service at the cemetery.

Along with her parents, she is survived by her husband, Samuel A. “Sam” Koser; her daughters, Samantha Erin Koser & Olivia Jo Koser;  her sister, Emily Ann Kimbrough; her maternal grandparents, Emily & Albert Smith and Michael Lynch; her paternal grandparents, Bernice & Betty Lane; her uncles and aunts, Arab & Wendy Lane, Laura & Alex Westbrook; many special cousins.

Katlyn was known for the great love she had for her family which included her 3 special cats.

The family will be at the funeral home on Wednesday morning at 10:00 am to ride in procession to the cemetery.
