Julia LeAnne Cooner

LeAnne Cooner, 43, of Goldsboro passed away on Wednesday, November 13, 2024 at Wake Med Hospital in Raleigh. She was the youngest child of the late Jancie W. Best, formerly of Goldsboro and the late David D. Cooner, formerly of Hope Mills. LeAnne loved her career as a paramedic.

A service to celebrate LeAnne’s life will be held on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home and Crematory. The family will receive friends following the service.

LeAnne is survived by her siblings, Denise Smith(Ken) of Portsmouth, VA, DeAnna Gurganus(Tony) of Goldsboro, NC, Duane Cooner of Florida, Joel Cooner(Sissy) of Dade City, FL, and Darryll Cooner of Severna Park, MD; her Currituck NC family, Bev, Harv, Brandon, and Adam Belcher; several aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and a host of loving friends. She is also survived by her biological mother, Brenda Wilkinson of Florida.

In addition to her parents, LeAnne is preceded in death by her granddaddy Leland Wilkinson formerly of Bushnell, Fl and her niece, Kenleigh Smith formerly of Portsmouth, VA.
