Joyce Ann Daughtry Whaley, 68, of Faison passed away Thursday at Wayne U.N.C. Hospital. She was born in Sampson county to the late Sidney and Martha Sutton, and was the wife of the late Bronnie Whaley. Joyce was a teacher’s assistant at Hargrove Elementary School, the number one Carolina Tarheels fan, she always lived life to the fullest, and never ever met a stranger.
A graveside service will be held on Monday, February 17, at 3:00 P.M. at Wayne Memorial Park with Rev. Andy Beard officiating.
Joyce is survived by her daughter, Michelle Skozlas and husband, Richard of Massapequa, NY; grandchildren, Olivia and Declan Skozlas; a niece Renee Rogers and husband, Charlie of Indian Trail; great niece and nephew, Lacie and Lucas Rogers; and many special friends and family members.
