Joyce Strickland Obituary

Joyce Lamm Strickland, age 83, passed away Sunday at Wayne UNC Healthcare. Born in Robeson County, she was the daughter of the late Fairley Rudolph Lamm and Sallie Lewis Lamm and sister of the late Bobby and Franklin. She was married to the late Paul Strickland, Jr. for 63 years prior to his death in 2018. She was a member of the Goldsboro Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church, the ladies auxiliary and the God’s Girls Sunday School Class, along with the Golden Chosen at The Bridge.

A private service for family will be held.

Joyce is survived by her children, Jeanie Dunbar, Bill (Mona) Strickland, Susie (Ricky) Kirby, and Judy (James) Dominquez; her siblings, Danny, Dianne, Sybil and Marilyn; nine grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

In lieu of flowers the family suggests that donations be made to Goldsboro Pentecostal Free Will Baptist Church or the charity of your choice.
