Joyce (Hargrove) Fariss

Joyce H. Fariss, age 66, passed away Sunday, July 6, 2025 at Mt. Olive Center. Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of Maelina Rae Winders Kearney and the late Carl Liston Hargrove. She was employed with Firestone in Wilson.

A Graveside Service to celebrate her life will be held Thursday, July 10, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. at Eureka Cemetery. A visitation for family and friends will be on Wednesday, July 9, 2025 from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.

Joyce is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Jason & Kim Fariss; grandchildren, Ethan Fariss and Dewey Baker, Jr & wife, Jessie; great granddaughter, Coraline Baker; brothers, Lester Hargrove, Eric Kearney and Allen Kearney.

Along with her father, she was preceded in death by her brother, Keith Hargrove.
