Joseph Willard Lane
Obituary
Joseph Willard Lane, age 78, passed away early Sunday morning at his residence surrounded by loved ones. Born in Wayne County, he was the son of the late Josiah Dempsey Lane and the late Gladys Best Lane. He was preceded in death by four sisters and three brothers.
A graveside service will be held Monday at 4:00 pm at the Lane Family Cemetery located on Highway 111 south with Brother Al Laws officiating.
Willard is survived by his wife of 61 years, Rebecca E. “Becky” Lane; three sons, David Lane, Bobby Lane and wife, Melissa, Randy Kyle Lane and fiancée, Amanda; two daughters, Julie Czanik and husband, Ron, Glenda Warren and husband, Lee; a sister, Ann Smith; fourteen grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews, including a special niece, Teresa Williams.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts may be directed to the Walker Memorial Church, 2862 NC Hwy. 111 S., Seven Springs, NC 28578
