Johnny Earl Edwards

Johnny Earl Edwards, age 78, passed away Tuesday at Kitty Askins Hospice Center in Goldsboro, NC. Born in Wayne County, NC, he was the son of the late Earl Charlie Edwards and Hilda Holland Edwards. For many years, Johnny was a butcher with his family grocery store, E.C. Edwards Grocery, formerly in Dudley, NC. He also was a previous supervisor with Smith Hardware. Most important in his life was his family, especially his grandchildren.

Johnny is survived by his children, Gary Edwards & wife, Lynda and Stacy Drummond & husband, Matthew; his sister, Gail Holland; his grandchildren, Karley Kearney, Jacob Drummond, Brandon Carrier and Tiffanie Fonville.

A Graveside Service will be held Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at 2:00 p.m. at Wayne Memorial Park. The family will visit with friends immediately following the service at the graveside.
