John Franklin ("Frank") Williamson, Jr.

John Franklin Williamson, Jr., age 86, passed away on Sunday, March 30, 2025, at his home.  Born in Cheraw, SC to the late John Franklin Williamson, Sr. and Nancy Gibson Williamson, he was preceded in death by his wife Brenda Faye Brakeall Williamson and his children Phillip Allen Williamson, Kenneth Lee Williamson and Vicky Williamson D’Antonio.  Mr. Williamson proudly served our country as a member of the United States Air Force, where he served for 20 years and 1 month.  He was also retired from Hampton Industries in Kinston.

A service to celebrate the life of “Frank” will be held Wednesday, April 2, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home with Rev. Jim Willoughby officiating. Interment will follow at Wayne Memorial Park with full military honors.  The family will greet friends on Wednesday, April 2, 2025 from 1:00-1:50 at the funeral home.

He is survived by his daughters Natalie K. Williamson and Tina Williamson Woodard (Randy); his grandchildren Kristi Hansen Spellman, John Sousa, Marcus Williamson, Amber Williamson Ward, Amy Williamson, Ian Reid Hope and Joshua Alan Hope; and his thirteen great grandchildren.
