John Elbert Clark

John Elbert Clark, 73, passed away Thursday at Wayne U.N.C. Hospital. He was the son of the late Willard and Jessie Blackburn Clark, and was married to Nancy Campbell Clark. Mr. Clark was a truck driver by trade, and was a United States Army Veteran. He enjoyed bowling and shooting pool, but most of all he loved to talk to his family and friends. Mr. Clark was a member of the Eagles Club at the Outer Banks.

No formal services will be held.

In addition to his wife of 47 years, Mr. Clark is survived by his sons, Roger Goodspeed and wife, Sonya of La Grange and John Clark and wife, Charlene of Seven Springs; a brother, Randy Clark and wife, Ann of GA; a sister, Pamela Renkawitz and husband, Mike of AZ; grandchildren, David Goodspeed, Colleen Harvey, Timothy Goodspeed, Victoria Goodspeed, Cayleigh Summerlin, Roger Goodspeed Jr.,

 Peyton Summerlin, and Chase Clark; 9 great grandchildren; and special friends Jimmy and Cheryl Bryant.
