Joann (McKeel) Corbett

Joann McKeel Corbett, age 81, died Wednesday at Johnston Health in Smithfield, NC.  Born in Wayne County, she was the daughter of the late James Fred and Susan Royals McKeel and wife of the late Alfred Woodrow Corbett.  She was retired with Pepsi Cola Bottling Company after 29 years of service.

A Graveside service will be held Saturday, November 21, 2020 at 3:00 P.M. in Wayne Memorial Park with Pastor Allen Peacock officiating.  A visitation for family and friends will be held Saturday from 1:00 – 2:45 pm at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home. 

Mrs. Corbett is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Joyce and Stanley Holland; son & daughter-in-law, Ricky and Cindy Corbett;  eight grandchildren, twelve great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.

Along with her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her daughters, Vicky Diane Corbett and Mary C. Sauls; sisters, Virginia Person, Margaret Martin and Callie Pipkin; brother, Willie McKeel.
