Jo (Wise) Musick

Jo Wise Musick, age 66, passed away Sunday morning at her home.  She was born in Wayne County on July 13, 1957 to the late Sydney D. Wise and Maxine Cashen Wise. She was a member of Brogden Church, having served as the director of the children's choir, the bereavement committee and was active with the mission teams. Jo was a wonderful cook and avid gardener. She loved to dig in the dirt and her “green thumb” was very fruitful. She used these skills as a selfless giver, often sacrificing her own self to share the fruits of her labors with others that she felt were in need. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother and grandmother.

A service to celebrate Jo’s life will be held Saturday, November 4th at 10:00 am at the Brogden Church on highway 117 with Rev. David Moehring officiating. Committal services will follow at Wayne Memorial Park. A time of visitation for family and friends will be held on Friday, November 3rd  from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home.

Jo is survived by her husband, Jim Musick; her daughters, Amber Jo Musick-Clark and her husband, Marc Clark,  and Jamie Elizabeth Musick; her sisters, Beth Gore and her husband, David, Vickie Caines and her husband, Dean; her grandchildren that lovingly called her “JoJo”, Eli Clark, Micah Clark, Peyton Musick, Kayden Musick and Kamden Musick; a special friend, Terrie Jones and her husband, Aubrey; and numerous loved cousins.
