Jimmy Earl Stevens

Jimmy Earl Stevens, 80, passed away on Tuesday October 17, 2023, at Wayne UNC Health Care with 
family by his side. Born in Wayne County, NC on March 27, 1943. He was the son of the late Eddie 
and Myrtie Williford Stevens.
A graveside service will be held at Wayne Memorial Park on Thursday, October 19. at 3:00 pm. Jimmy 
was co-owner and operator of Stevens Carpet for many years where he loved spending time working 
with his brothers.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of 58 yrs, Myra King Stevens, children Eddie Stevens and wife Amanda. 
Louie Villegas and Yolanda Hood. Grandchildren, Shaun hood and wife Alyssa, Jessica Brack and 
husband Neil, and Stephanie Stevens and Fiancé' Jacob Rose. Seven Great Grandchildren, and several 
nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sisters Penny Ginn and Sandra Hughes, 
Brothers Bobby, Donald and Linwood Stevens.
