Jimmy Corbit Lee

Jimmy Corbit Lee, age 76, passed away Sunday evening at UNC Rex Hospital in Raleigh. Born in Wayne County, he was the son of the late Corbit and Georgia Grady Lee, brother of the late Nelson Lee and father of the late Brenda Faye Lee.  Jimmy was a Veteran of the National Guard and a well-known carpenter. He loved good conversation and was known to fill those conversations with his wit.

A graveside service to celebrate his life will be held Wednesday at 11:00 am at Maplewood Cemetery in Mt. Olive with Pastor George Futrelle and Pastor Doug Bartlett officiating. The family will visit with friends at cemetery.

Jimmy is survived by his children, Kendall and Pam Lee; Linda and Tony Rouse; a brother, Tom and Emily Lee; a sister, Lois Thornton; a sister in law, Carolyn Lee; seven grandchildren, Shelly L. & Rand Falls, Kenny and Morgan R. Lee, Brandon and Samantha F. Lee, Jessica and Gaspar Martin, Heather Rouse, Beverly and Jose Jacinto and Allen and Chrystal Butler; ten great grandchildren, Peyton Moose, Lucas Jackson, Addyson Falls, Jackson Lee, Hannah, Jeremiah, Benjamin, Alexander, Angelina, Dalila, Lyla and Atticus.
