Jill Lewis Brown, age 52, passed away Friday at Wayne UNC Health Care in Goldsboro. Born in Chester, S.C., she was the daughter of Willard Lewis and the late Mary Ellen Shytle Yearwood. Jill was employed as an optical associate with Mitchell Eye Center and was a member of The Bridge in Mt. Olive. She had been very involved in both the Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts and had served on the staff of The Bridge Kids.
A service to celebrate Jill’s life will be held Monday evening at 7:00 pm at Shumate-Faulk Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Andrew Price officiating. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home immediately following the service and at other times at her home.
In addition to her father, Jill is survived by her husband, Kenneth Brown; her sons, Clyde Sneed and Brandon Brown and his wife, Erin; her daughters, Jaboha Davis and her husband, Lee and Heather Shields and her husband, Tyler; a brother, Mike Lewis and his wife, Priscilla; and her six grandchildren, Ashlynn Sneed, Colton Davis, Kaleb Davis, Carson Davis, Amelia Shields and Ezra Brown.
